Faaaliga and the AhQuin family were the entire entertainment. Faaaliga did the Haka, coconut show, and the fire knife dance He even sang a Samoan song for the whole ward. The AhQuins did Hawaiian chanting, hawaiian hula, and tahitian. Just before starting the fireknife show Faaaliga ripped off his lava lava to reveal his really short lava so he could dance better, but the crowd all gasped because they weren't sure what was under there. I even saw some Mom's cover their kids eyes! :) Both our families were also in charge of all the food. Faaaliga cooked a pig in the pit and more.

Aloha from the other side of the world!
I guess I found you, IF you are the one still true to yourself, showing the world "how to kill a coconut" and dancing the fire-knife-dance of your beautiful country Samoa, as you did BACK in the days on Oahu, Polynesian Cultural Center? And your name was "Tuna" as your friends told me, when I finally grabbed my courage to ask them whether I could meet you and you already had moved to the Mainland by then (Summer 1998) ?
I am the extremely shy German girl head over heels for you and your shining smile back then, and you had a special place in my heart for always ;-)
If you even remember me or ever want to get in touch, find me on Facebook :-)
